Innenminister droht Richtern

Ich hatte ja schon einmal kurz den Film V for Vendetta angeschnitten. Nun, England ist anscheinend tatsächlich auf dem Weg zu einem totalitären Staat. Wie sonst soll ich mir solche Aussagen erklären:

The home secretary, John Reid, made clear yesterday he is prepared to declare a "state of emergency" to suspend key parts of the human rights convention if the law lords do not overturn a series of judgments that have weakened the anti-terrorist control order regime.

Mr Reid said he was prepared for the first time to take the "nuclear option" of opting out or derogating from article five of the European convention on human rights which guarantees the right to liberty.

The high court, the court of appeal and parliament's joint human rights committee have all said that a significant number of the 17 [anti-terrorist] control orders in force are being routinely exercised in breach of the right to liberty under article five.

In Kurzfassung: Da Richter in England den Anti-Terror "Kampf" behindern droht ihnen der Innenminister damit, den Notstand auszurufen und die Menschenrechte einzuschränken. Bitte erzählt das nicht dem Schäuble, der kommt noch auf Ideen!
